LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS FOR COLOMBO GAS COMPANY
Having secured tenders for the supply of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in 1991 and 1992 through Itochu Corporation and for 1993 through Tomen Corporation, Tokyo, we successfully distributed the supplies without disruption to the consumer. The L.P. Gas carriers are owned by Far East Shipping of Tokyo, whose sole representation we hold in Sri Lanka. The husbanding of these Gas carriers are exercised with utmost care due to the hazardous nature of the cargo. These arrangements are scrupulously carried out with the assistance of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and the Colombo Gas Company. While the complete operation is closely supervised by our staff, the discharge details are forwarded to the owners by telex or fax without delay.
IMPORT & EXPORT OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation exports Naphtha and Fuel Oil and imports Gas Oil, Kerosene and Crude Oil. Our Principals' vessels carry the cargo from Colombo to destinations in the Far East. Under our supervision, the vessels are able to turn around fast with minimum port expenses. Operations are carried out at the North Pier and the Single Point Mooring Buoy off Colombo Harbor with the products transferred directly to and from the tank farms at Kollonnawa and Urugodawatte.
FISHING TRAWLERS AT PORT OF COLOMBO
Our Principals, based in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan own and operate a vast fleet of fishing trawlers and vessels in all the fishing grounds around the world. Their trawlers in the Indian Ocean call at the Port of Colombo for Bunkers, Freshwater, Provisions, Repairs, Crew Change Medical attention to crew and for Transshipment of fish to Mother Vessels. Expeditious action provided by us see their speedy return to the fishing ground.
IMPORT OF WHEAT AND EXPORT OF WHEAT BRAN
Vessels calling to discharge wheat and load wheat bran at the Prima Ceylon Milling Complex in China Bay, Trincomalee berth alongside the Prima Pier, adjacent to the complex from where cargo operations are handled with the assistance of silos.
Bulk carriers of our principals have transported such cargo on several occasions. Our Operational Staff are stationed at our Trincomalee sub-office from commencement to completion of the cargo operation and overlook the vessel's needs, All particulars and statistics are promptly forwarded via Colombo for onward transmission to the Owners. In the Port of Trincomalee, the supply of provisions, bunkers and freshwater are arranged without delay. Bonded stores and lubrication oil are transported from Colombo under Customs supervision.
